Canadian Studies Conference at MSU Law
The Midwest Association for Canadian Studies (MWACS) will be hosting a conference at Michigan State University College of Law on November 13-15, 2014. The interdisciplinary conference’s theme is “Common Problems, Working Solutions Across Borders,” and participants will discuss how to direct resources and expertise toward solving global problems.
Presenters will discuss:
- History, arts, and cultural exchanges and preservation
- Water quality and the ‘blue economy’
- Curriculum trends for teaching about Canada
- Trade security, transportation infrastructure, and tourism
- Shared agricultural interests
- Energy supply and sustainability
- Today’s society of indigenous people
MSU Law Professor John Reifenberg serves as the president of MWACS and teaches extensively on Canadian and international law.
